Design- Start with a small sized project! May be a backsplash or countertop in the kitchen or maybe a sink, backsplash in the bathroom is where you should use it. Utilizing a pencil and a pad to sketch the surface where you are going to add Pearl River tile and measuring every dimension of the work.

Countertop- the countertop should be very solid and stable. A double layer of ¾ plywood or bambu tile is a minimum requirement. Cement backer boards are available at different rates, but it is specifically manufactured for ceramic tile. Be sure that it is properly secured. Cutting may be done with a carbide blade and a power saw, but it may cause a tremendous amount of dust, hence you should utilize dust mask and safety glasses.

Installation- Start by dry laying the tile on the countertop! Put full pieces at the front edge and working in the back of the counter. You surely don’t want to try and install the tiny pieces of Pearl River tile. Do the same for the length of the top. Once you set the bread box, blender, toaster and opener on the counter, the back edge almost disappears. Just put one leg against the front of the counter and the other leg will turn out to be a square. Be sure the trim along the front edge of the counter is nailed tightly.
